Where were you born?

In good ‘ole Medicine Hat.

How did you become a model?

I love pin-up girls and with my style in a small town, photographers just started asking me to pose!!

What is your favorite curse word?

It’s totally cliche but as the song says “I love to say FUCK!”

Can you tell me five facts about yourself that other people might not know?

1. I still sleep with my stuffed animals, and I love it!

2. I haven’t had my first real kiss yet :* (

3. I have been afraid of swimming pools since I watched Jaws.

4. I crochet and knit A LOT in my spare time.

5. I love Disney AND zombie movies

Tell me about your tattoos, which is your favorite and why?

I have 3 tattoos right now, but I have another booked already!! I got the birdies on my chest first, and from there I went crazy! I got my chest piece done after and it’s by far my favorite because it was so painful but looks fab!!! I also have a zombie girl on my left arm with “Beauty Queen” underneath, and on my right arm is my close second favorite tatty, because it’s the Creature From the Black Lagoon in a tuxedo, CUTE!

Do you have any piercings or other modifications?

The only other body mod I have is my lip ring and my monroe.

Risks of Getting Tattooed

It’s easy to think that getting inked is safe and healthy, considering how many people are getting tattooed these days. With shops popping up all over and every one of them touting their health standards, it’s hard to know whether getting a tattoo actually has any risks.

The truth is, tattoos do present certain risks that need to be considered. You might be getting a tattoo in a friend’s kitchen and trust your friends to be clean, or you might not have realized you were allergic to red inks before, and herein lies the danger.

According to the Mayo clinic “Tattoo inks are classified as cosmetics, so they aren’t regulated or approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)” which means that your tattoo artist could literally be injecting anything under your skin. This opens up an entire world of allergies and possible side effects from having ink permanently placed into your flesh.

Celebrity Tattoos: Tila Tequila

We think the jury is out on whether we should be featuring a photo of Tila Tequila on our website. One of us thinks she’s a total fox, and the other thinks she’s a scary elf out to eat our souls. In the end, we thought we’d just let you decide.

In this image you can see a couple of Tila’s tattoos. She seems to like getting small pieces of ink that are very dark, usually just red and black. We think that this is a pretty hardcore look for such a petite girl, and perhaps she would have looked better with something larger yet more delicate. But hey, she really isn’t a delicate girl, far from it.
